Garage door work in Ventura is a specific kind of trade. Salt air off the Pacific eats at springs and hinges faster than inland heat ever could. Homes in Midtown and the hills above downtown have doors from three different decades, and no two track setups are quite the same. We built our crew around that reality. The people who show up at your door are the people who know this city’s doors, this city’s weather, and this city’s neighborhoods. They’re background-checked, identity-verified, and they arrive with a name and a face you already know because we sent it to you before they left the shop.

Our People
Aaron Teague, Owner
Aaron started in this trade in 2001, the same year Doyle opened its Ventura doors. He came up through repair work, not sales, which is why his first instinct on any call is to explain what failed before he touches a tool. He’ll tell you a trolley carriage is the part that pulls the door along the rail, that a limit switch tells the opener where to stop, and he won’t act like you should have known either of those things already. He sets the pricing rules for every Ventura job: written down, handed over, agreed to before a single bolt gets turned. When he’s not on a call, he’s usually at the shop trying to figure out why a certain Wayne Dalton model keeps wearing cables unevenly in the Buena Ventura neighborhood. He never gave up on the theory that salt air has something to do with it.
Marco V., Lead Technician
Marco has been turning wrenches on garage doors since 2009, and there isn’t a torsion spring he hasn’t seen fail in a way that surprised him once. He’s our factory-trained specialist on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems, and he handles most of the heavier spring replacement work across Ventura. Marco carries a torque chart in his truck that’s covered in notes written in the margins, most of them about how coastal humidity changes spring calibration. He’s also the guy who explains the safety hazard in plain terms before he starts: a torsion spring is a large coil mounted above the door that does most of the lifting, and it’s under enough tension to cause serious injury if handled wrong. His rule is simple. If you wouldn’t touch a loaded trailer hitch, don’t touch a wound spring.
Dominic R., Senior Installer
Dominic joined Doyle in 2012 and focuses on full door installations and track replacement work. He can hang a Clopay or Amarr steel door on an old Midtown carriage house frame and make it close square and seal tight, which is harder than it sounds when the original framing has settled an inch over sixty years. He has a dozen notes in his head about how different neighborhoods in Ventura drain stormwater, and he’ll build a weather strip recommendation around that. Outside of work, he restores old radios and has strong opinions about antenna placement in the Ventura hills. He’ll share them if you ask, but only if you ask.
Brenda T., Service Coordinator
Brenda has been answering Ventura’s garage door calls since 2016, and she’s the first voice you hear when you dial (559) 239-8293. She schedules the crew, keeps the trucks stocked, and figures out which technician to send based on the description of the door, the opener, and the noise it’s making. Brenda knows the difference between a rattling roller, a worn carriage, and a failing capacitor just from how a customer describes the sound over the phone. She also sends the name and photo of your technician before they arrive, because she takes the stranger-at-the-door concern as seriously as you do. Her desk has a small radio that plays the same oldies station all day. No one knows if she actually likes it or just refuses to change it.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this crew works under the Threshold Standard. That means a background check and identity verification before they ever knock on a Ventura door. It means a clean, marked uniform and a photo ID badge shown at the door every time, no exceptions. And it means you get your technician’s name and photo sent to you before they arrive, so you know exactly who to expect. On the work side, the standard is just as clear. Every job includes a written price before any work starts. Every repair comes with a written guarantee on the work. If a repair fails within 365 days from the date of repair, we come back and make it right at no charge. That’s the whole promise. It applies to every tech, every job, every neighborhood in Ventura. No fine print, no upsell pressure, no surprises.
